“Reflection involves both looking back at teaching experiences as well as looking forward and setting goals for new or changed directions” (Richards & Farrell, 2011, p.167)
Hello, my name is Stephanie Marcotte (Brown). I work in the field of TESOL and love everything about teaching!
Currently, I am an Adjunct Professor at Holyoke Community College (HCC) and the President of NNETESOL (an affiliate of the TESOL International Association). Previously, I worked as a Scholarship Advisor at UMass, Amherst.
Exciting Update: I am now a Fulbright semi-finalist for an ETA in Hungary for the 2018-2019 academic year.
I am currently enrolled at the University of New England, where I am pursuing my Ed.D in Educational Leadership. I completed my MATESOL degree at the SIT Graduate Institute in the Fall of 2015. Prior to SIT, I completed my undergraduate degree at Hampshire College. Outside of TESOL, I have focused my studies on educational methodology, mindfulness, and professional development.
This online reflective portfolio documents my teaching and learning adventures. This is a virtual space for me to reflect and share my experiences with the larger discourse community. Thank you for viewing my TESOL Portfolio! I am pleased to share my experiences as both a teacher and a learner.
